Stamp duty for women in Ghaziabad 2024

Women are offered a 1% reduction in stamp duty charges in UP. So they pay 6% stamp duty instead of 7% on property buy. But, this rebate is applicable only up to Rs 10 lakh out of the total value of the transaction. So if the worth of the property is, say, Rs 11 lakh, a woman will have to pay 7% of Rs 11 lakh (Rs 77,000) as stamp duty.

 

Registration fee in Ghaziabad in 2024

Irrespective of the gender of the party in whose name the property is being registered, the buyer has to pay 1% of the documented value of the asset as the registration charge. This means that for a property worth Rs 1 crore, the buyer will pay Rs 1 lakh as the registration charge.

Earlier, buyers had to pay only a flat fee of Rs 10,000 for properties worth up to Rs 10 lakhs and Rs 20,000 for properties above Rs 10 lakhs, as the registration fee. The 1% registration charge was imposed with effect from February 14, 2020.
