Using the Himbhoomi portal, citizens can check every detail about land and its ownership pattern in the state, apart from paying various taxes through the portal. One can also initiate an online mutation process through the Himbhoomi website. The site also provides information about property circle rates in various cities of Himachal Pradesh. Using the Himbhoomi app is another way to access all this information, including circle rates in various areas of the state and pay various bills.

How to check land records in Himachal Pradesh on Himbhoomi portal?
To check jamabandi Himachal, you need to know the khasra, khewat and khatauni details. Keep that information handy before you open the Himbhoomi portal.
Step 1: Log on to the Himachal Pradesh revenue department website https://himachal.nic.in and click on the ‘View land Record’ tab placed at the bottom of the page.

Step 2: You will now land on the page shown below. Select district, tehsil, village and jamabandi year and type captcha code to proceed. Also note that if you have already given an application to get land records, you could simply enter the application number and get the details.

Step 3: The page that now appears would seek further details. You have to pick among khewat (owner details), khatauni (cultivators’ details) and khasra (plot details) to get the details.
Note here that khasra or khesra refers to the account details of the plot and khatauni provides information about the land-holding pattern within a family. In other words, while a particular piece of land is known through its khasra number, the details of all the khasras of a particular person or family is known as khatauni.

Step 4: The new page will present a copy of the jamabandi.

How to apply for mutation online on Himbhoomi?
Step 1: On the home page, go to the ‘Mutation Request’ option.
Step 2: You can apply for online mutation by providing your name, email ID, mobile number and entering the captcha code. You can also check online mutation request by providing your mobile number.

Landowners in Himachal also have the option to view Bhulekh and Jamabandi on their mobile if they have the mHimbhommi mobile app. Users can install this app from Google Playstore to view plot map for the villages where digitisation of plot maps has been completed. Aside from the facility to view Jamabandi based on Khewat, Khatoni or Khasra Number, users can also has open to view Shajra Nasb.
