How to check Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2025 subsidy status online?

This guide will walk you through how one can check the PMAY subsidy status for the housing unit that he has applied for.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a credit-linked subsidy scheme through which the centre along with the state governments provide affordable housing for the low and moderate income residents of India. It has changed the Indian affordable housing sector and has helped people who were earlier struggling to buy pucca houses. The centre has taken up an aim of constructing 3 crore houses under PMAY by 2029 with 2 crore houses directed towards PMAY-Gramin and 1 crore directed towards PMAY-Urban 2.0.

Once applied for PMAY subsidy, the next logical step is to check the beneficiary status and know whether their PMAY application has been accepted or rejected. This can be done through a number of ways both online and offline. One can use various identification details including registered email id and mobile number, PMAY application ID, Aadhaar card number etc. to authenticate the PMAY application. This is useful especially for people who don’t have any specific forms of identification. This guide will walk you through how one can check the PMAY status of the housing unit that he has applied for.

In line with the ‘Housing for all’ mission’s guidelines, a new module has been created by the NIC that will record payments disbursed to beneficiaries in multiple instalments.

Difference between CLSS and other PMAY components

Many applicants under PMAY face confusion while tracking their application status due to a lack of clarity between different components of the scheme. Each component has a separate tracking process, and misunderstanding this often leads to errors such as “No Record Found” when checking status online.

CLSS (Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme)

  • This is the only PMAY component that is linked with a bank loan.
  • Applicants under CLSS should track their status through the CLAP Portal: https://pmayuclap.gov.in.
  • Status can be checked using the Application ID and OTP sent to the registered mobile number.

BLC, AHP and In-Situ Rehabilitation

  • These components are not linked to a housing loan and are instead implemented through the urban local bodies or state governments.
  • Applicants for these must check their status on https://pmaymis.gov.in under “Track Your Assessment Status.”
  • In many cases, local municipal authorities or ward offices may provide offline updates for these applications.

This distinction is crucial for accurate tracking and prevents unnecessary anxiety caused by searching on the wrong portal.

PMAY UCLAP subsidy processing stages

Once your home loan provider approves your application for the PMAY credit-linked subsidy, you can track the status of your application on the https://pmayuclap.gov.in portal.

To track the status of your application, on the home page, under the CLSS tracker, enter your application ID. Your PMAY application ID would be an 11-digit alphanumeric code.
