About Guntur Municipal Corporation

The Guntur municipality was constituted in 1866 and the first elected body was formed in 1881. It was upgraded to II Grade in 1891, I Grade in 1917, Special Grade in 1952 and later to Selection Grade in 1960. The Municipal Corporation was established in 1994. There are 57 political wards, following the merger of villages into the Corporation. The city limits were extended by combining the 10 surrounding villages into the Corporation. The current jurisdictional area spans over 168.41 sq kms.

One can visit the website guntur.emunicipal.ap.gov.in and create an account, to access various services, including property tax payment online in Guntur. One is required to fill the form with details such as assessment number, old assessment number, owner name and door number and then, proceed to pay the tax.

Alternately, one can visit the official website of Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, Government of Andhra Pradesh and follow these steps for Guntur property tax payment:

Step 1: Visit the CDMA AP website and go to ‘Online Payments’.

 

 

Step 2: Select the district and corporation. Click on ‘Submit’.

 

 

Step 3: Fill in the required details such as assessment number, old assessment number, owner name and door number. Then, click on ‘Search’.

 

 

Step 4: On the next page, the property tax-related details will be displayed, including the amount to be paid. Click on ‘Pay tax’.

Step 5: On the following page, choose the CFMS payment gateway and read the terms and conditions. Proceed to pay by clicking on ‘Pay Online’. 

A reference number will be provided. One can also download and print the receipt.

Guntur Municipal Corporation: Payment of water charges

One can also pay the water charges through the CDMA AP portal. It involves the following steps:

Step 1: Go to Online Payments > Water Charges.

Step 2: Select the district and corporation details. Click on ‘Submit’.

 

 

Step 3: Provide the details that include the 10-digit H.S.C. number, assessment number, old consumer number, assessee nam, and the door no. Click on ‘Search’.

 

 

Step 4: On the next page, details related to the water charges, including the payable amount, will be displayed. 

Step 5: Choose ‘Collect charge’ under ‘Actions’. It will direct you to the next page for payment of water charges. 

Step 6: Choose the CFMS payment gateway and click on ‘Pay Online’.
