Comprehensive development plan: Process

- Town planners are responsible for analysing the various aspects and the focus is on identifying the challenges that have resulted in the lack of proper infrastructure development over the years.
- The next step relates to the creation of plans for the city’s future development, with the help of key stakeholders.
- An effective strategy is prepared, to ensure that present and future goals are aligned, which is followed by the conceptualisation of projects and programs.
- A City Investment Plan (CIP) created under the CDP provides an estimate of the investment required for the implementation of the comprehensive development plan. For example, whether financing will be enabled through the local government or by encouraging the private sector, etc.
